About Our Company
HOPE ISLAND RESORT REALTY was set up in May 2003 in the Walker Building under the Hope Island Resort Security office. The office was originally set up by Walker Corporation (Mr Lang Walker) to provide a service to the residents of the resort and to protect their capital interests and to have knowledgeable staff available to give advice when clients who bought land through the developer wanted to build or just sell on.
Our office is open Monday to Saturday from 8.30am - 5.00pm and Sundays from 10.00am - 4.00pm.
It started as a small operation with just three staff, Jose and Michelle St Ange, and one Office Manager. The Property Management Department moved over in November 2003 as they grew and needed to be in a convenient place for our clients.
Initially we only had a few listings and a few buyers looking for re-sales within the resort. Our Property Management team were responsible for permanent renting for our investors and also a holiday letting scheme that allowed clients to come to the resort for a golfing holiday whilst looking to invest in the future. It also provided our holiday owners an option to lease out their homes whilst they were absent and to acquire some income when their home was empty.
The office grew very quickly and soon we had to employ a few more agents and another office clerk. We were at bulging point!
It was about that time that one of our valued clients bought some land from us on the Hope Island Road and told us about the commercial development that he was going to build. It was to be the perfect spot for us to move to at the mouth of Hope Island Resort on Hope Island Road and one of the best decisions we made for the growth of our office.
We moved to The Place on Hope Island Road in September 2004 and are still here today. We have one of the biggest real estate office windows and are now one the biggest independent agencies for Hope Island and its surrounding areas. To date we have sold $557,660,750 with January 2008 being our best month ever with $25,419,000 in sales.
Bought out by MIRVAC in December 2007, we continue to strive with a great network and public company behind us. We consist of a full staff of 17, 3 Property Managers, 1 full time Accommodation & Guest Services Co-ordinator 3 full time office staff, seven fully licensed real estate agents, 2 sales agents, a Japanese Community Manager & an Executive Assistant to Ruth Fea.
